3.1. CSU Scholarship Application Form   

The application form for CSU admission can be downloaded from the official website of CSU.
You do not need to fill out another form for the scholarship, Central South University directly considers all the applicants for CSU Scholarship. 



3.2. Academic documents:

This includes all your certificates & academic record like

A: Bachelor’s transcript & certificate

B: Master’s transcript & certificate (if the student is applying for 2nd Master’s or fellowship)

C: Metric & FSC transcripts (10-12th Grade) (A level) (DMCs) and certificates (Supporting academic documents)

D: Course summary (to explain your courses & how your previous courses & studies resemble your future studies to which you are applying)



All of the above documents should be attested by respective boards.

Also, attest them from issuing authority of home countries. The respective university must attest university documents.

In the case of Pakistan, The above-mentioned documents must be attested by IBCC, HEC, and MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

IBCC authority is only responsible for the attestation of metric and inter documents.

Dear offices are present in Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and also in other cities of Pakistan.

HEC office attests to bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD documents 




3.3. Valid passport & NIC

The passport of the applicant must contain at least one full blank page on both sides.
The passport must be valid at the time of visa application and on arrival to China. There should be the validity of the Passport for two years.

A birth certificate or national ID card is also important to attach.




3.4. Language Proficiency certificate (IELTS/TOEFL)

Some courses at CSU are in English taught while other courses are in Chinese taught. If the applicant is applying for an English-taught course, he must provide IELTS / TOEFL or any other proficiency certificate.
There must be 6.0 bands in IELTS overall while 85 above score in TOEFL. 

Applicants for Chinese-taught courses are required to have an HSK of 260 scores for science and engineering-related courses and 220 for social sciences and arts-related courses. 




3.5. Recommendation letters / Letters of Reference

The applicants must provide 2-3 letters of recommendation from the previous university, (Depending upon courses).

It is advised to provide a letter of recommendation from the HOD (Head of the department or Relevant course head) who should be a PhD.

In the case of undergraduates, the Letters should be written by the principal or institution’s head.

The referees need to write their contact details (Email, phone number) at the end of the letter.

The letter must include an official letterhead, signature, and official stamp and must be of the current date.

Ask your Referees to write about your academic achievements & discuss their confidence in you that you are fully compatible with the project or course you wish to pursue.

The referees must also mention how long they know the applicant & when was the last time they came in contact with the applicant.




3.6. Acceptance Letter 

The students for PhD programs should have an acceptance letter. An acceptance letter is a written email by a professor who has accepted you in his lab.  

The acceptance letter can be acquired by emailing the potential professor, you must provide your field of interest, and research proposal and convince him to accept you.
The acceptance letter is only required for PhD students.

3.7. Hope certificate (If applicable)  

If the final transcript isn’t ready then students can apply with a Hope certificate from their university.

However, they must be graduated before their arrival in China. 

What is Hope’s certificate?
Simply put, It is a certificate based on the previous semester’s performance, indicating that the candidate will pass the final exams with excellent results. 



3.8. Physical Examination Record  

The physical examination record must be filled out properly by the attending doctor. The form must be signed and stamped by the doctor.

3.9. Statement of Not receiving other scholarships   

You need to provide a statement by yourself mentioning that you are not receiving any other scholarship with the CSU Scholarship. Here is the official statement for this. 



3.10. Self-Introduction Video

You must provide your introduction in the form of a video. The video must not be longer than 1 min and the HSK applicant should speak in Chinese in the video.
The video format must be MP4 with a video capacity of 40 MB or less.




3.11.  No Criminal Record Certificate for Central South University  Scholarship

No criminal record must mention that applicant has not been in any criminal activity in his home country.
The No criminal record must be translated into Chinese or English.
