1. Benefits of the Auckland Scholarship
Auckland Scholarship offers the following benefits:
- Up to 50 scholarships are granted annually, each worth up to $10,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- The scholarship amount is applied as a credit toward compulsory tuition fees for the first semester at the University of Auckland. This covers only program-related compulsory fees and the student services fee.
2. Eligibility criteria for Auckland Scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- English proficiency is required.
- Applicants from any country are welcome to apply.
- Students enrolled in a research-based master’s program are not eligible.
- Undergraduate applicants from University of Auckland Foundation Providers (including UP Education and Taylors College), as well as graduates of New Zealand secondary schools, cannot apply.
- Applicants must enroll as on-campus students; distance learning students are not eligible.
- International students are defined as those who are not citizens, permanent residents, or resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia.
- The scholarship cannot be postponed to a later semester. A new application must be submitted if deferred.
