1. Benefits of Poland Government Scholarship

 

The Poland Government Scholarship provides the following benefits that will cover your living expense and study in Poland;

  

  • The tuition fee of any Public university will be waived.
  • A monthly Stipend will be provided up to 1700 PLN (391 USD) to each scholarship holder.
  • The amount of stipend varies in the preparatory course period and second cycle (start of your program). In the preparatory course, you will get 1500 PLN (344 USD) each month while a bonus of 1000 – 3000 PLN  (230 – 690 USD) will be given in the first month of arrival.
  • In the last month of the scholarship period, 500 PLN (115 USD) extra will be given. 

 

The monthly stipend will fulfill all of your living expenses including accommodation, food, and commute. While mobility allowance in the first month of the Scholarship will cover your travel expenses.

2. Eligibility Criteria for Poland Government Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for Polish Banach Scholarship is the simplest one. You can apply for the scholarship if you;

  • Do Not have citizenship of Poland, nor applied for it.
     
  • Willing to apply for a preparatory course or second cycle (master’s program) of study in Poland under Poland Government Scholarship
  • Have diploma/degree certification of your bachelor’s or graduation
  • If you are a student of last year in an undergraduate program in your home country, you can still apply
     
  • If you have passed out of the Undergraduate program, the degree must not be older than 1-2 years (e.g for the year 2023-24, the undergraduate degree should not be earlier than 2021)
     
  • If you are willing to study in the Polish language, Must have an A2 level of fluency in the Polish language (if applying for a preparatory course before the actual program) and a B1 level in the Polish language (if applying directly for the master’s Program)
      
  • For courses in the English language, you must have a B2  Level of English to apply.
     
  • Students who have their undergraduate program in the following courses are eligible to apply. These fields will be also applied to the Master’s programs in Poland.

4.1. Academic documents

This includes all your certificates & academic record like

A: Bachelor’s transcript & certificate

B: Master’s transcript & certificate (if the student is applying for 2nd Master or fellowship)

C: Metric & FSC transcripts (10-12th Grade) (A level) (DMCs) and certificates (Supporting academic documents)

D: Course summary (to explain your courses & how your previous courses & studies resemble your future studies in which you are applying)

NOTE:
All of the above documents should be attested by respective boards.

4.2. Valid passport & NIC

The passport of the applicant must contain at least one full blank page on both sides.
The passport must be valid at the time of visa application and on arrival to Poland.

A birth certificate or national ID card is also important to attach.

 

 

4.3. Proof of English language or Polish language Certificate

If you are applying in the Polish language path, you have to provide the document that ensures you’ve studied your previous academic in Polish.  

There are various standard English language Testing that is acceptable. You can attach an English language proficiency certificate issued by your university.  

English proficiency certificate is proof that the medium of taught courses was English.

Some Polish universities or specific courses may also demand IELTS, TOEFL or PTE.

 

4.4. Recommendation letters / Letters of References

The applicants must provide 2-3 letters of recommendation from the previous university, (Depending upon courses).

It is advised to provide a letter of recommendation from the HOD (Head of the department or Relevant course head) who should be a Ph.D.

In the case of undergraduates, the Letters should be written by the principal or institution’s head.

The referees need to write their contact details (Email, phone number) at the end of the letter.

The letter must include an official letterhead, signature, and official stamp and must be of the current date.

Ask your Referees to write about your academic achievements & discuss their confidence in you that you are fully compatible with the project or course you wish to pursue.

The referees must also mention how long they know the applicant & when was the last time they came in contact with the applicant.

 

 

4.5. Hope certificate (If applicable)  


If the final transcript isn’t ready then students can apply with a Hope certificate from their university.

However, they must be graduated before their arrival in Poland.

The preparatory course is of two types (based on your language of study).  

  • Polish Language Path  

Students who select courses in the Polish language will be enrolled on Polish Language Path. They will get an education in the Polish language. 

  • Summer Polish Language or Culture Course 

Students who are enrolled in English language programs will get a summer Polish language and culture course after the first year of study.
It will be for 3 weeks at a designated center by NAWA.

 

2- Start of Second Cycle (Master program)

In this course, you will be enrolled on a full-time master’s program in any NAWA-recognized Public or private university. You can select Polish or English language as your language of study throughout the entire period.

Remember The language path would not be changed after selecting your online application form. It will be checked upon request of the Scholar if the transfer would be justified.

7.1. Formal assessment

No, IELTS/ TOEFL is not mandatory to apply for Poland Government Scholarship. 

The NAWA panel issued an official list of English language testing. They accept a variety of documents as English language proof.
