Unlike European countries, Turkey doesn’t have short-term or long-term visas for students. Instead, they are offered (Student) education visas.
The Student-education-visa allows students to stay in Turkey for up to 90 days. And on arrival, they can later apply for a short-term residence permit or Student residence permit, according to their need.

If the student is carrying a scientific research or Internship or language program or Exchange program then they can later apply for a short-term residence permit.
And if they are going to stay in Turkey for their undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, or Associate programs then they will apply for the student residence permit.

3. Turkey Study Visa Processing Time
The average processing time for a Turkey study visa is 15 days. The residence permit for Turkey takes between 1 to 3 months.
The applicant must travel to Turkey within six months after the issuance of the visa otherwise it will be canceled.

5.1. Turkish Visa Application form
The Turkish visa application form must be filled out to initiate your visa process for a study visa for Turkey. This application form will require you to fill out several fields.
These include personal details, academic background, travel history, choice of visa, etc.
You can file your visa request at a Turkish embassy, consulate, or third-party operator in your country of residence. You can find or take an appointment online here. where you might be called up for an interview.
Applicants will also have to submit a copy of the visa application form if they apply for a residence permit in the future.
5.2. Passport-size photographs
The general picture format for Turkish student visa is the following.
A: Two recent (within 6 months) passport-size (35x45mm) photos.
B: White background with neutral facial expressions. (Unedited)
C: Avoid uniforms & the head should be 80% in the photo.
D: The applicant should look at the camera.
E: One photograph should be glued to the visa application
while the other should contain the applicant’s full name on the reverse side, & should be attached with a paper clip to the visa form.
5.3. Valid Passport
A: A passport must have at least 18 months of validity from the date of visa application.

C: The passport must have at least two blank pages.

5.4. CNIC
A birth certificate and a National Identity card are mandatory for a Turkey student visa.

5.7. English Language Proficiency (IELTS) for Turkey Student Visa
There are no specific mentions of IELTS for Turkey student visas on their immigration website. However, it is required to get enrolled in the university.
The minimum IELTS band score in Turk universities is 5.0, while some universities like Middle East Technical University or Izmer University of Economics require 6 bands, which is still comparatively less than the requirement of universities in European countries.
Remember, Most of the universities in Turkey have English as their primary language due to which the students have to prove their English Language Proficiency.

5.8. Statement of Purpose/Letter of Motivation/Cover Letter

5.9. Acceptance Letter from Turkish University
It is an acceptable proof of study, internship, and training program at a higher institution in Turkey.
This acceptance letter should mention:
That the applicant is accepted to a study program at a Turkish university.
It also includes accommodation proof and details of the organization supporting the student, plus the duration of studies.
Students should also attach the scholarship details if they are getting any.

The annual fee for studying a full-time degree program in Turkey can range from $250 to $1,500.
5.10. Bank statement for Turkey Student Visa
The applicants are required to prove their financial means to be eligible for the Turkey study visa. The proof can be provided through a proper bank statement.
According to the official calculation, €50 per day is enough for a foreigner to stay in Turkey.
So if the International student provides a bank statement of € 7000, it’s financially enough for them to stay in Turkey comfortably for around 5-6 months.
Bank Statement must be signed and stamped by the bank officer. The bank account must be in the name of the student.
This amount should be shown irrespective of the university fee.
In the case of a scholarship or grant, there is no need of showing a bank statement.
5.10.1 SPONSORSHIP
In the case of sponsorship, the applicant should make an Affidavit of the sponsor, in which they will state their relationship.
The sponsor is also required to show the tax return for the last two years.

5.11. Health (Travel) Insurance
International students from Non-Eu countries are advised to have private or public health (Travel) insurance which can cover their first few months in case of any medical & Pharmaceutical assistance or emergency.
The insurance must guarantee the coverage of repatriation costs and Covid-19 treatment.
While the EU/EEA students can use their European Health Insurance Card.
The minimum amount of insurance required for a Turkey study visa is €30,000. Various companies offer travel/health insurance for international travel.
5.12. Medical certificate
Students must do a medical examination and show previous medical history about medication and illness.
They must provide test proof of Tuberculosis and Hepatitis A and B. (Incase of some countries)

It is a receipt or proof of the “first-semester fee” or the “fee for the whole year”.

5.15. Copy of Hotel Reservation & Flight Booking
The booking confirms the arrival date in a particular country. The hotel reservation shows that a student researched the process.
The host university should mention in their admission letter if they provide accommodation for the student.
The student can also provide a rental home contract.
5.16. Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
A family registration certificate (FRC) is a document that tells that the family record of the student is complete in the database of the home country.
This document contains details of the name and information of the parents and siblings.
This document is very much important in case of extending a residence permit or in case of permanent settling in Turkey.

Pakistani students can get FRC through NADRA offices in Pakistan.

5.17. No Objection Certificate (Optional)
It also varies from country to country. It is compulsory for some countries and known as NOC.
